Aricept belongs to drugs labelled FDA Pregnancy Category C. This
entails that its effects on an unborn child are uncertain. It is
therefore not recommended for pregnant women to take this medication
without consulting first a physician. Breastfeeding moms are also

Aricept Intake Instructions
Aricept is ordinarily taken with a full glass of water once a day
just before bedtime. It is not a stomach irritant so it can be taken

Aricept Missed Dose
Aricept must not be double-dosed. If you miss a dose, take it as

Aricept Side Effects
It is recommended to stop intake of Aricept and to seek immediate
medical assistance if you experience allergic reactions that
include:
- Difficulty in breathing
- Closing of the throat
- Swelling of the lips, tongue, face, or hives
Other minor side effects that are likely to occur are the
following:
- Drowsiness or dizziness
- Nausea, vomi ting or decreased appetite
- Abdominal pain or diarrhea
- Muscle cramps
- Insomnia or vivid dreams
- Dry mouth

and inform your doctor, making sure to mention other side effects
that are particularly bothersome and unexplainable.

drugs:
- Ketoconazole

or Itraconazole

- Phenytoin (Dilantin)
- Carbamazepine
(Tegretol)
- Dexamethasone
(Decadron), Methylprednisolone

Prednisone
(Deltasone),
- Prednisolone
(Prelone, Prediapred), or other steroids
- Rifampin
(Rifadin,
Rifamate, Rifater), Rifabutin
(Mycobutin)
- Phenobarbital (Luminal, Solfoton), Pentobarbital (Nembutal),
Secobarbital (Seconal),
- Mephobarbital (Mebaral)
You may be advised to undergo special monitoring while under
treatment or you may need dosage alteration. Other prescribed or
over-the-counter medicines may have unwanted reactions with Aricept.
